Tony Garnier Bass (Electric, Acoustic, Upright, Double, 6-string), Guitar (Bass, Acoustic), Keyboards 1989年6月から現在までボブのツアー・バンドの一員です。舞台の上では他のバンド・メンバーに対してボブの通訳までこなし次の曲を知らせ、曲の終わりを合図し大活躍ですが、いつも笑顔を絶やさず余裕たっぷりで、彼無しのバンドは今では考えられません。 Time Out Of Mind の録音では全ての曲でベースを担当し、想像ですが Highway 61 Revisited録音時のマイク・ブルームフィールドのように、 ボブの希望をほかのミュージシャンにつたえる役割だったんじゃないでしょうか？

• ボブとの最初の公演: 1989年6月3日アイルランド、ダブリン公演。
  1989年6月8日から、ベーシストのケニー・アーロンスンと交代。
  
  
• ミネソタ州セント・ポール生まれ。LAで育ち1971年カリフォルニア大学を退学しバンド Asleep at the Wheel に参加。バンドは1974年テキサス州オースティンに移り、通算3枚目の Texas Gold が チャートのトップテンを記録しアメリカで最も有名なカントリーアーティストとなりました。
  
  
• 1978年トニーはバンドを離れニューヨークへ移動。そこでロバート・ゴードンと仕事をしたあと、 Lounge Lizards に参加。サウンドトラックの録音などのセッションで活躍し、ジングルの演奏をした事もあるそうです。 Saturday Night Live とギグをしそのバンド・リーダーの G.E.スミス と知り合ったのがボブと演奏するきっかけでした。
  
  
• 1989年当時のベーシスト アーロンスンが病気だったためダブリンなど4公演には代理として呼ばれました。しかしアーロンスンの病気は思わしくなくバンドを離れることになったため、その後トニーがボブとの演奏回数最多記録を更新中です。ツアーでは、サウンドチェック時やあらゆる面でバンド・リーダーをつとめ、音楽監督と呼ばれています。
  
  
• ニューヨーク在住の彼は、現在もツアーに出ていない時には Mojo Mancini というバンドで演奏したりしています。
  
  
• 1998年1月21日付 New York　Timesの Food欄に彼の写真入り インタビューとガンボ・レシピが掲載されました。
